Insomnia
A person may have insomnia, a common sleep disorder, if they difficulty initiating and/or
maintaining sleep, don’t have restorative sleep and still feel tired when they wake up. Insomnia
can impact energy levels; mood, health, work performance and quality of life. There are
multiple treatments for insomnia. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) is a multi-
component treatment that addresses the difficulties that contribute to insomnia. According to
the National Institute of Health (NIH), there is significant evidence that CBT-I is an effective
treatment for chronic insomnia.
