Grief/Loss

Grief is an emotional response to loss, a very natural part of life.  While most commonly occurring after the death of a loved one, grief can also occur while someone is ill, with a divorce or other relationship or any other significant loss. Symptoms are often emotional, physical and cognitive.   While there are “Stages of Grief”, it is important to know that it is an individual process.  Speaking with a Certified Grief Counselor is helpful in coping with loss.
