Alzheimer's/Dementia/Elderly Family Caretaking

Millions of people in the United States take care of a loved one who is aging and/or struggling
with Alzheimer’s Disease or a dementia. Sometimes caregivers live with the person, live nearby
and sometimes they live far away. Caretaking can fall on one person or can be shared by
multiple people. Some people are caretaking while working and taking care of children and
other family members, others are full time caretakers. No matter what kind of caretaker you are,
it is a big responsibility and can be overwhelming at times. As a Certified Dementia Practitioner
(CDP- National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners) and a Certified Montessori
Dementia Care Professional (CMDCP- International Council of Certified Dementia
Practitioners), Caren can provide therapy through support and guidance.
