The Office of Women’s Health reports more than 1 in 5 women in the USA experience mental health issues, most commonly anxiety or depression related. Some women also experience mental health issues during times of significant hormonal changes. As a trained perinatal therapist, it is important to nurture an environment of expression so that you can work through issues including but not limited to fertility concerns, perinatal loss, antepartum/postpartum depression and anxiety. Women often experience stress, anxiety, isolation and conflict as caregivers. As life continues and women begin navigating the physical, mental and emotional changes related to, perimenopause, menopause and post-menopause, there are both medication and non-medication to help alternatives, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for menopause and menopause coaching.
